I’ve definitely used something similar that I would classify as a bowline on a bight. Could you show me exactly your method of tying it?? Thanks!!!

    “Rope Only” Canopy Anchor??

I’m curious if there is a knot that can capture the working side of the line (midline), while also installing the retrievable side at the same time. Basically setting up a running knot without having to feed the tail thru a butterfly and no extra hardware… heard it’s been done! Thanks!

Physics Question: Basal vs Canopy Anchor Forces

Agreed! Also as you have stated previously, rope diameter and construction are factors too! Even the diameter of the bollard plays into it too!

Physics Question: Basal vs Canopy Anchor Forces

No that totally makes sense now! Thanks for the explanation! I can see this help further explain friction to new ground workers!

    SPRAT

Yes! I’m using a treemotion. Using double bridges definitely helps and gives you more options for work positioning.

    SPRAT

I'm SPRAT Certified. I have found that for tree work positioning, two separate lines, and two separate climbing devices proves to work the best for me. Most rope access industries stay very static and very vertical on the two lines whereas we move up, down, and laterally. Hope this helps!!

Ring to ring triple action cambium saver

My thinking is a typical ring to ring saver that meets the triple action locking requirements our industry requires for life support. Basically developing a life support ring / carabiner style friction saver. That is all

Ring to ring triple action cambium saver

Petzl makes a semi circular carabiner that fits into our scope of work. What about a friction saver with a larger carabiner style ring and a smaller ring of the same construction??!

Ring to ring triple action cambium saver

Just curious if a ring to ring saver could be manufactured simulating an industry related life support biner in rings????
