    Question for you Rebuild gurus

I’m reassembling my 661 because gravity crushed it I just realized I didn’t order the 2 locating sleeves for mating the case halves. Are they reusable? If so, how do I remove them without damaging them? I will probably order new ones and wait to finish putting it back together. Unless one of...

    Morbark upper feed wheel removal

Old thread but voodoo magic is right! I need to replace pivot pin bushings and it sucks! I managed to finagle it so I can access the pin bushings but it’s definitely half assed. I might cut the upper housing then welding for the reassembly. Then landmark or local shop for bushings although I’m...

On call emergency response for Municipality's

Not specific to tree work but we used text messages for emergent and last minute overtime issues. We sent a group text to everyone eligible. This can be done through email instead of phone. The first people to respond got the work. Overall, it worked really well. It was far more efficient than...

    Refusing irresponsible tree work

I encourage people to leave trees that are healthy and low risk. I’ve found that addressing it as if were in reference to my own home, what I would do. I have had occasion to remove healthy oak trees because the elderly owner was afraid (legit) of falling on the acorns (steep hill). I could only...

    Cleaning pine sap from gear

I do white pines far more often than I’d like. I keep a gallon of rubbing alcohol in the truck. Best thing I’ve found so far

    Avant 528 vs cast 33d

Another vote for Avant. There are some FB groups that are very helpful for hiccups if you’re not going to a dealer. They make adapter plates Avant to Skid steer

    Tractor, skid steer, or excavator?

If you can wrench on your own machines a used articulated loader. Sounds like I do similar work as you. I’ve used DW, and Kubota tractor but find the Avant to be way more versatile and easier to use.

The electorate is pathetically disengaged as well. I volunteered registering voters this past election. Registration required declaring a party. I was shocked at the number of first time voters that asked “Which one is Trump?” “Which one is red?”

I’m not sure if the system is too big for its’ own good or not. I think the biggest issues are wealth disparity and corporate welfare.
