I was reading some of those little excerpts in the 2008 Sherrill catalog before tossing it. On page 8 it addresses the DO's and DON'T's of pruning. Buzz newbie, so I don't know if this has been discussed before, but yesterday I found a gold wedding band in some included bark of a honeylocust.
