Has any testing been done on climbing lines that have been inadvertently spiked? I was thinking about this after I spiked my brand new kalimba. The wind blew it into my spar while I was trying to avoid the damn thing.
Does anyone have a contact for the new tribe folks cause this rope bag they made seven years ago is still holding up super fresh to this day. It’s a shame I can’t find them anymore.
I hate this invasive plant and while driving around I see homeowners making this mistake time and time again. We get the calls to deal with this stuff either from the boneheads who planted it or their unfortunate neighbors that then have to deal with it in their yard.

We replaced the lcd on the chipper and the rpm’s don’t match up to the engine. Display says 190 at idle but it’s prolly around 800. There’s nothing in the manual about adjusting this. Does anyone know how?
I was wondering how much oil comes out of the reservoir. The manual says the system is around 35 gallons but there's no way there's that much in the tank. Also, it specs 15w oil. That's super thin and I've never heard of it being used. Just want to get my ducks in a row before I pull that...
We have a minor hydraulic leak on one of the inlet hoses to the pump. I’m not sure why there’s two inlet hoses but we tried to tighten the hose clamp and it was tight like tiger. Started when it got real cold. I thought it was like coolant hoses when they shrink in the cold weather. Any ideas or...
I’m outfitting my three workers with chainsaw pants since they hem and haw about chaps.
Im concerned about them not lasting long with dragging brush.
I was recommended the dogwoods from arborwear but some reviews have panned them for ripping on brush.
In the next month or two I’m going to start transitioning to work positioning in the tree. I hurt my left foot but I’m right foot dominant with a foot ascender for pruning.
My concern is wearing spurs and how long in can take the pain from standing on them.
Anyone have exp with this ?
One of our motors started leaking on our woodsman15x. It was very new so I was surprised. Took it to the closest competent shop to re-seal it and the guy says “not another one of these…”. He said three years ago he started getting tons of these in for seal issues when they used to be a very rare...
Was gonna post this in the crane section but it doesn’t have much to do with hoisting.
I encounter situations maybe 5 to 10 times a year where I’m prevented from bringing my aerial lift or loader into an area like a back yard because the access has a side slope.
I was thinking about buying a...
I'm putting together an elevator rear mount truck with Altec and they want me to go with a 33K cab and chassis that is double framed. This is a dealbreaker for me because in the northeast double framed trucks do not last at all because of the rust. Is this really necessary?
