Fiddlestick and similar style retrievable redirects - experimental

I thought about that as well. I'll try it with different sized rings and load it real hard and see what I can come up with.

Fiddlestick and similar style retrievable redirects - experimental

Let me know what you think. I'll do some real world trials soon.

    New (I think) Retrievable Redirect

I like the gate taped open so it doesn't catch on the other side when pulled.

    New (I think) Retrievable Redirect

It's actually pretty tough to pull it out after loading it on just the steering wheel. I'll try it out in tree and see how it goes.

    New (I think) Retrievable Redirect

It could with an oval biner, not so much with the D though. Hey, I'm only half redneck.

    New (I think) Retrievable Redirect

Trucks tensioner pulley just straight up fell off. Luckily I have my gear with me and I'm thinking of redirects.

I like them, but they drive me insane.

Dude... the scarves are killing me. That's an interesting technique. Requires the purchase of 2 additional ropes and doesn't do much for high canopy access. I can see where it's beneficial though.

Tell me something stupid you did!

Aww damn! I bet that was a horrible feeling g.

Tried DSRT yesterday. I'm a fan.

Pruned a big Pecan with no central tie in but lots of deadwood in the middle. Having positioning from both sides was amazing. Anyone have any suggestions about ascending with two systems spread apart like that? That was the only thing I struggled with.

    Climb of a lifetime!

So freaking amazing. Well done sir, well done. I like that little grapple hook for the throw line. Where'd you get that thing?

    One piece of advice.

Always ask questions, never stop learning, assume every tree guy you meet knows more than you until proven otherwise and learn from OTHER peoples mistakes.

Loads thru Pulleys, Friction, Canopy and Basal Anchors

I love fairleading the f$&# out of a tree with some ring slings. It makes me happy!

My favorite canopy anchor. Retrieves smoother than a basal. Put a XSRE in the end of your rope and it looks right out. Connect a throw line to the XSRE and you can work it loose if it gets hung. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
