    Cover splice for retrieval

Just jam an XSRE through it, or use a hot nail or leather punch to create a permanent hole then jam the XSRE through it. Also, a midline clove well dressed and set in the retrieval ball cord works a treat.

    Moss Cinching Lanyard prototype

Not that I’ve seen from use or break testing. The CTF is the same as any part of the rope.

Moss, how long does it take you to build this configuration? FWIW, I can hand splice Velocity with whipping in 4 1/2 minutes...

    Moss Cinching Lanyard prototype

My solution for the cinched lanyard is for the general population, 98% of climbers. Obviously not, for the 2% smoking meth tweakers in their basement with a knitting fetish who have too much time on their hands.

    Moss Cinching Lanyard prototype

Can’t wait for you to get the ring stick in a union or partially stick to the point where it whips out and the ring breaks a front tooth. Poor Andy, can’t ever handle my criticism. Good luck with your square wheel, buddy.

    Moss Cinching Lanyard prototype

Ha ha. I could tell from your video (yes, I made it through the whole thing), that yours is too much fidgeting and fudging for me. And it’s not remote retrievable.

    Moss Cinching Lanyard prototype

I think you're over thinking things, again... A 34mm DMM ring works best, it stays stowed around the hitch until needed.

WTH? SHERRILLtree Poison Ivy made by Samson now?

Yale will always make their XTC 24 line, the most common color scheme being Blue Moon. They make Focus for Wesspur, the colors were chosen by a Facebook group. Poison Ivy and the Ivy group were color selections licensed by Sherrill. Aztec, Prism, Arrow Frog, etc were color schemes licensed by...

Yes, I tie a running bowline for my primary, clip a RollClip Z in the eye splice, and put my tail through it.

Cinching Up with a Second Laynard During Removal- mechanical vs friction knot vs running bowline

A Slaice is ideal, but I would be less concerned about this set up as a secondary than choking and aluminum carabiner.

    Bullring rigging device idea

But, arc would be required for 1/2” thickness, TIG would be fine for 3/16” and thinner. So, never mind. 6061 T6 would be plenty strong.

Just leave it alone, trees girdle themselves and each other all the time.

Revolver/ Pinto on Snake Tail for MACA (midline attachable crown anchor, converts from base tie without untying), 34mm and 40mm DMM ring FS for twin lining (pass a bite through both and jam the smaller with a Figure 8 on a bight and drop an accessory line from it for retrieval) and FimblClimb...
