I would imagine they'd be great in a dead eye configuration. The block doesn't have enough rope behind it to make a difference if its a static or dynamic rope, imo. I'm not a rope expert tho, someone like @Worthaug might have better advice.
There are lots of factors that play into this. Extreme heat and extreme cold could both help to shorten the life of hydro pumps and obviously any contaminants in the system. I wouldn't be surprised to see one go 4k hours.
When buying used its more about condition and how the truck was maintained than brand. They are all decent, but I'd stay away from the gassers in a truck that heavy.
The V10s in my F450 and 550’s averaged 5mpg pulling a 200 Bandit. I’d guess you’ll be doing 4 in a bucket truck.
Will you be running a pony motor for the lift hydros? It’s a lot harder on a gas motor to idle all day compared to a diesel.
At first I was like, what is TFAD? Googled it quick and got “that fat ass dick” although fitting for something @JD3000 and @JeffGu might say, it took me a second to realize trees from a distance was the correct answer.

There is an exceptionally clean looking ambo that the auction ends tomorrow near me. Its an 07 Diesel with 56K miles. Can't link directly but its on www.wisconsinsurplus.com Its at $4,000 now and I would bet it goes for less than $11K, wouldn't be surprised if it goes...
Most ambulances that come through auctions by me are E-350/450 cutaways and have a gross of 14.5K regardless of whether they are a 350 or 450's for some reason. I'm not certain but would guess they have an empty weight around 10k. As far as putting a mini inside shouldn't be a problem. None...
I once was considering buying a Echo 12” diesel chipper. Salesman was trying to tell me how great the warranty was. I asked if I could get the warranty info in writing, the salesman couldn’t produce but had someone from echo corporate email me it. It was ridiculous. Said it wouldn’t cover...
I keep debating if a bigger mini or a small articulated loader would be best when I’m ready to upgrade. I love everything about the articulating loaders except that they are not as easy to get on and off and your back will take more jarring than if you were standing on a mini.
Yes, lots of utility poles and half rotted railroad ties being burned around me too. I know one guy who buys military tires by the truck load and resells them. He takes the runflat inserts out and cuts them into pies and throws in the wood burner at night.
Several of the small towns have passed laws banning outdoor wood burners around me. The problem came from guys thinking because they had a outdoor they could put any green shit wood they wanted in them and ended up smoking out everyone down wind.
