    Euro tracked chippers.

Arbtalk Merle. In fairness to the op, he’s looking at a choice of three, and like all of these threads, there’s a lot of people with a certain brand, who will recommend what they have for various reasons. I had a terrible experience with Först, but others like them. Like everything, a lot...

Those Eliet shredders are popular here, I’ve seen a few in action. I wouldn’t give you tuppence for one compared to a disc chipper.

    Leaving chips onsite

That’s getting to be my situation. Up to recently i was glad to get rid, but now I’m starting to expect a few quid, especially in winter when it’s largely clean stuff.

https://banditchippers.com/product/65xp-towable/ If they tried to sell these in the UK they’d be lucky to sell one. Single roller, overweight, ugly as sin, too big. The big chippers (Bandit, Vermeer etc) are peerless in the euro market, sought after and rated very highly.

I guarantee you small European chippers will knock the American offerings into a cocked hat. If the tariff thing doesn’t stop it, in 5/10 years they will change the market over there.

    Oh my handyman and landscapers!

Well yes and no. Low grade work that CAN be done by gardeners or the like is vulnerable to being lost. Where you (or me) will always win out is A. Real climbing work, ie something more than a ladder and a prayer. B. The logistics of tree work, getting the stuff away, chipping, trucks etc.

Interesting thread. Jensen are German made and are normally regarded as a high quality brand. TW are British made but were recently (2 years ago) bought by the US company that owns Mobark and Rayco. Checking the specs, if you’re going petrol, you have a lot more power with the TW. As for the...

anyone successfully start a business with no equipment or land?

Impressive. ‘Good hustle’ as sports coaches say! Echoing your point about weekends. My nephew is new in the business and I have had to remind him to take at least one full day off a week, even if it’s just drinking with his mates. You need mental time away from this (or any job) to be...

anyone successfully start a business with no equipment or land?

Yeah, I guess. But, as I read it, the crane was mentioned, Sean says “I did not definitely say I’d use a crane” but it was implied in the conversation and the cost reflected that. Sure she owes, but for me it’s not completely black and white.

Tbh Sean, that’s a sticky one. Not sure you’re 100% morally in the clear there. I mean you were there during the conversation, but I can understand her misgivings.

Price for the job, if they want a breakdown tell them no.

    Chainsaw Shopping

Interesting point. It could be that the catastrophe of the release of the first 201 is rendering them wary of rushing new models out. Another thing to consider is (according to a UK dealer on Arbtalk) the top selling top handle is the Echo 2511, beating all comers. Is the 35cc top-handle on its...

    Who's making the "Hold Fast"?

Just checked it out on Instagram. It uses a prussik, so I’ve already got similar with the RC3000 attachément. Which isn’t very good as it happens. So I’m out.

    Avant 528 vs cast 33d

Yes they are, they do everything better, lift more, more manœuvrable, easier to transport. My sadness about selling the tractor is that I sold it to my Brother in law, so I have to see it every time I go round there, and he wont sell it back to me now I have the money!
