roger,
i thought you had some video of that 2011 or 2010 100 yr old giant sequoia removal you posted somewhere. any chance its not a false memory, or was it all stills?
i get the impression this is not a joke. and this dude has 2,400 posts on treebuzz. there is no excuse for this type of work being passed off as professional arboriculture. totally clueless
yeah bud, flat stubs for a hand hold or footing are one thing, but your asking for a hurtin for certain as gerry would say, leaving those daggers. did that rusty old flying saucer have its force field activated to deflect those rounds should they bounce funny? good onions(y)
Quacktastic! Between you and stihlmad I got euc envy. Seems there's a video missing. You really treat the trees with respect and climb as well as cut with proficiency
Did a spikeless removal on a couple monterey pines last week. My partner decided my spurs looked dangerous when we moved last month and put them somewhere safe, but couldn't remember where. Found them yesterday in the tire well in her car.
I'm really enjoying a few of these recent threads. Reminds me of a few years ago when the forum was hoppin with folks. Some good some not so helpful but always entertaining. Thanks everbody
He says the trick is to keep the chain razor sharp. I think he even makes his own chisel bit chain for it. Keeps a few extra wrapped in newspaper in his lunch box
nice trees. video needs more action. Got any of you rigging or doing something other climbers would find intriguing? Looks like you know how to edit, something I still have yet to get
Yeah buddy!!
Great video. Studly takedown. Who's the climber?
No fancy new fangled system needed. What did you do with the wood? I like the name too. Call mine Treecyclers.
