I bought a tribloc when i was first learning. Thought it was a great alternative to an expensive hand ascender. Ended up costing way more than the proper tool for the job, as i needed to get a new hank of rope.
It does bite in hard, and for an emergency backup that sits out of the way on your...
What are some of the little tricks you have picked up through the years?
Recently, I have started to use a retrieval ball on my rigging line in the place of an overhand slip knot. It means that i can leavr in in place when the rope gets pulled back up and it doesn't fall out of my rigging...
Gather 'round children, and let uncle Limb It tell you a story.
On Thursday, I was chipping a particularly nasty piece of ash, quite hard, lots of 90 degree corners, plenty of things to get snagged on. Our company only has a 7" chipper, so there is a lot of babysitting that needs to be done to...

You guys are making my wallet hurt. I'm just going sit over here, watering my CMI micro pulleys, hoping they will grow into something worth bragging about.
This was a special request from one of my climbers. The only time he ever uses this pulley is for a friction saver on connifers. I would have girth hitched it if I were making it for me.
