We recently put a few 89hp and 130hp GM gas engines on a few chippers we rebuilt. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of them. They recover well and seem to hold their own vs their diesel equivalents. Plus GM has an awesome engine warranty. Something like 5 years/3000 hours. How...
It'll last, we can make any of the fabricated parts and have sources for all of the purchased parts for them. We have gotten into the parts business with both feet in the last year or so.
We have a few pieces and parts for Terex winches but we haven't been able to get our hands on a whole one yet. If I get caught up a little bit here I'd like to make a few complete new ones to have on the shelf.
We bought all of the left over inventory from when Terex shut the handfed line down. So I have or I can get anything you'd need for a Terex/Woodsman chipper.
If you're interested in a LOR autofeed tach, I can help you with one of those. There is a good chance that is what was in your machine and if not, I have all of the adapter harnesses to go from the other brands to the new LOR tach.
For what it is worth, you can replace the shaft, it just requires cutting it out of the old feedwheel. We do it all of the time here. We even stock the shafts and the complete feedwheel just for these occasions. Morbark has used this design a long time on the 15 and 18 so we've seen plenty of them!
How about a Dynamic Cone-head CH515? 21" x 34" opening, 200hp John Deere 6068 2900 hours. We rebuilt the drum, rebalanced it, new bearings and a handful of other repairs along with being blasted and painted. $39,000
Sorry guys, I've been slacking on checking the Buzz. We get $3100 for the rebuilt winches and that is with a new winch mechanism, new hyd motor, and hoses. A lot of Morbarks come with the winch valve already in the valvebank but if yours does not, we also stock them. And they're all blasted and...
You wouldn't happen to be able to spare that wedge setup for a week or so would you? I could reproduce it if I had a pattern. Or if you could sketch it out with dimensions enough to make one. I have had a few calls on M&M machines but haven't been able to help much on the parts specific to them.
I have a rebuilt Morbark hydraulic winch I could set you up with. It even comes with the hoses to go to that unused valve section. I see that is a Twin Disk you're pulling off of there. Do you mind if I ask what clutch you are testing?
We can get most anything for the Terex/Woodsman handfed chippers. We're building a brand new, from scratch top feedwheel for an old Woodsman 2114 right now. Anything you guys need, I will definitely do my best to help with!
Thanks Merle! I am new to this so any help I can get is greatly appreciated and thanks for the welcome! As far as the focus on parts goes, we've always kind of done it for ourselves on the machines we rebuilt but as time goes on we were getting more and more call for the parts. So we figured...
To tell you the truth, I have very little info on Mitts and Merrill machines. But I always like to learn something new so it will be added to list of things to research!
Is anyone here going to the Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Expo in Escanaba, MI? I will be there Friday if anything needs any parts from www.landmarkmachinery.com I would bring it to Escanaba for you!
It depends, we source a lot of the purchase parts from the original manufacturers like bearings, pumps, etc. We fab a lot of our own fabricated parts, and we have a pretty decent size salvage yard of chippers that we pull from.
