    The autofeed tach shouldn't have any control over the level of engine rpm. What engine does your 1590 have on it? If it is a Cat or a Perkins with the engine management panel on it, it could be the ribbon wire for the throttle control on the back side of that is damaged.

    The 12x is a good machine. The only issue I've ever really seen with them is the top feedwheel motors go out once in a while but every model has some little issue! As for parts availability, it shouldn't ever be an issue. We stock or can make just about anything you'll ever need for that...
