Terex chippers

Yeah and you make a living selling older equipment so a little hard to take your advice seriously. New chippers come with warranties and don't have unknown hidden abuse over their life and the myriad of issues that always present themselves with used equipment.

Ive personally bought a bandit model 90 chipper from california tree equipment (Matt) and hes knows his stuff....he deals in newer chippers as well.

He has more knowledge of chippers than most of us....just FYI ;)

I have a 2012 Morbark M14R and am not overly impressed with its durability. The machine runs great but is a rattle trap. Both fender welds have come off and have needed to be rewelded. The axle is bowed and the shoot deflector weld has also broken. I am looking at the Terex 770 for our main crew chipper and downgrading the Morbark to pruning jobs.

In my opinion you can not beat a bandit, they sell a model for everything and anything . I have tried everything except a terex but they are coming by in the next few weeks. Primarily we have been bandit and rayco but this year I picked up 4 Carlton 1712 choppers and have been happy with them too.Vermeer and morbark have been huge disappointments .but Vermeer guy has been a great guy just sells a poor product ill let you know what my opinion of terex is in comparison if that means anything but we do have 40 + chippers

Anyone running a 750? I'm looking at one with a 160hp Cummins and winch. Looking for feedback!

I think they're a pretty good machine, some of the electronics on the newest ones were a bit of a pain. This is a pretty old thread on here. You might get more feedback if you start a new one in this section. Either way, if you get it, let me know if you ever need any help on it. We have a guy here that worked for Terex/Woodsman for 16 years until their close.

Thanks Trevor, I think we chated onFacebook. If I do go ahead on this unit, I will surely need some insight. Figured starting a new thread for this would be redundant, but maybe it would be worth it....

I've been considering pulling the trigger on a new left over Terex. I'm not scared about getting parts as a majority of the wear or things that break are off the shelf items. You just need to know how to find them.

Deevo, does thefact that no one picks up the line make you a nervous owner ? Any regrets about the purchase ?
No not at all, the kubota engine has a 5 year warranty, Clutch is a fairly common one and bearings other wear and tear items are easily accessible made by other companies. No regrets it was more of a machine then I thought it would be that's for sure, the Morbark comes out for big jobs or second crew and our little bandit 65 does back yard and island jobs so I've got a perfect set up at the present time ! Now all I needs the crane !

We have a 2012 TAC750, and have been happy with it. All of the hydraulics except the winch are electronically controlled, but it's pretty simple, and other then a $10 relay and a dealer miswiring it, it's been great. There are benefits to electronic controls, mainly an "all stop" switch on either side of the hopper.

I'm sad the line has been discontinued, and hope someone takes the torch. I planned to buy a 790 down the road...
