Likely not the answer your looking for, but when I CC’d for a guy nearby, I charged him 30% of the job. Did that for a few seasons, then he got dodgy on me…. I needed to focus on my own thing anyway, and not be making the competition look good. I feel that IF you need to hire one, they’ve kinda...
Been really liking Stephen Wilson Jr. since I discovered him last summer, and I love his version of hunger strike. Just got tickets to see him next April.
I called Iowa, at first they seemed aggressive to make things right, but the new dealer they put me in contact with didn’t do shit about it either. I get that anything new, some kinks may need to be ironed out, but fucking A, stand by your products, or step up and do the right thing! I sent...
Me getting a new machine poured gas on my burnout fire… Brand new Vermeer mini skid, I’d only put about 5 or 6 hours on it, and a bunch of bolts on the undercarriage/pontoon frame interface were backing out. The Vermeer team told me to fix it myself…. In response I told them they should send a...
@levi r working solo will definitely burn a guy out, working with a stick in the mud of
a human will burn you out, and make you question every decision you’ve made leading up to this point….. Hang in there buddy, the grass isn’t always greener….
not always… I’ve gotten the “shipping label created” email before, and items hadn’t even been to the splice department yet, because the material/s were back ordered!!
@BurOakTom i agree 100%. I’m such a skeptic nowadays, that this “deal” smells almost like a desperation tactic to drum up more sales, but with no verifiable proof to actually get the $75 from treestuff.
How does one know if the items are in stock? Historically when I’ve ordered from treestuff, there is nothing that reflects in stock or backorder…. I Make the order, they charge the card, and I have to reach out to learn the item is on backorder.
@96coal449 I hear what your saying about the Haix boot pricing….. I was given a free pair to be a weartester for them a few years back. After putting them through the paces, I feel the price is 100% justifiable, worth it, and I would pay full price for them (or wait for a sale!) Was hesitant...
I’ve had to soften my rates just a touch to keep the pipeline full…. It’s definitely a fine line to compromise I know. Work comes in waves for me in my market. I think summer ending, and kids going back to school (now) has reduced lead volume a little, but I can’t complain….. Bills are paid, my...
A boot with a good heel is a must. I like if I can to drive the base of the stirrup into a step, some masonry, or anything with a nice defined edge. Whatever is available that’ll drive that bottom plate into the arch/heel interface of the boots. Then I tighten the top strap, followed by the...
My ctx100 will load logs over the 4’ wall of my dump trailer. Not sure what the overall elevation of that is, but it’s pretty handy being able to lift that high….. that 7x14x4’ trailer puts in some work!
Man, sorry… I figured if they existed, Haix would be the ones to make them… They do run larger than normal in my experience. I’m a 12 in pretty much anything, and can wear a 11 in Haix comfortably FWIW.
