    Cottonwood with bright red sapwood. There were some purple/brown discolorations or canker an younger stem bark. Cytospora? Not unlike what we see on box elder but didn't go deeper into the wood

    There are some root soak/soil injection formulations and they smell like a very nice Bordeaux vintage '97 bottle of rotten cabbage juice.
