Face cuts and staying sharp (pun intended)

Yes, subcontracting correctly is the goal. It would be cheaper to make the climber a sub for when I need him (literally pay for his insurance and stuff). A few rigging questions. Broken rope.
A double bowline will break more easily after a hard pull. Learned that lurking on the Buzz years ago. I prefer to use a friction hitch over a knot. I use a long piece of Beeline to form a five or six wrap Klemheist onto the pull rope. Put a stopper knot behind the hitch if it wants to creep- Mike H
