Most guys start off in gtc then move into phc. I ask guys who are concerned about pesticide safety, how many times while climbing were you told you are crazy hanging off a rope 50ft or 100ft up in a canopy? To the untrained eye it looks crazy. But the trained professional is perfectly safe...
I use the ultra fine oil that site one sells. I think I pay around $625 for a 55 gallon drum. I'll go 2.5% on ocasion if weather permits i.e. not getting over 75 degrees during the day and no lower than 40 degrees at night.
I got burn 1 times years ago on a weeping larch. It got pretty warm that...
2% March /April then a second at 2% in the fall. That will cover both crawler phases of adelgid. Elongated Hemlock Scale can be tough to control with oil. You can add Dinotefuran in your fall app to control it if need be. Neo nics won't be a concern on hemlock as it is not pollinated by bees...
Tried Tree-Age G4 the other day. Large Ash 410ml, 4 bottles. Hooked up the G4 first, on the sunny side, the other 3 were ArborMectin on the shady side. The 3 with ArborMectin ran out, the 1 with G4 about a half hour later.
That being said the G4 is MUCH better than the original as far as uptake...
I always try to stay on the cutting edge of new ways and ideas. That being said I think it is best to take things slow, unless it has to do with a matter of safety. I always liked the quote by Chesterton, "before we remove a fence, it would behoove us to find out why the fence was put up in the...

Selling price is $600 obo which includes shipping to the lower 48.
Go on the ct deep website and look for information regarding the arborist license. It will give you the names of books and other resources to study.
The CTPA has an arborist 101 program that can be very helpful.
Half of the test is for a supervisory pesticide license. This is where most guys run...
Back when I was going through the testing process, getting ready to go in for the oral exam, I was speaking to another guy who got fined for pruning with out a license. I think it is based on what was done and on how many trees. I want to say his fine was around $2400.
The state has drones...
When we deadwood and allow tree to more quickly compartmentalize, does this not lessen the available time for decay pathogens to enter the tree? When the 4th wall (I think it's the 4th wall) of codit is closed, pathogens are no longer entering.
I am proposing this as a question and not a...
An Arborist can confirm whether or not you are only dealing with Rhizospheara or possibly cytospora, which if the latter you will be throwing money away on fungicide treatments. All of that resin coming down the tree looks indicative of cystospora canker.
The visible ones can be pruned out but you can be sure you have some more going on under the soil level. Time to excavate the flare with either an air spade or manual hand tools to have a further look at it.
Something I like to do in that type of senario is offer the client a good, better, best proposal. That shows them what I would like to do, what would be best for the tree and the situation, but also gives them options according to there pocket book. They often choose the better or best solution.
Same here. We were not having these problems last year with Tree Age. It's almost like they changed the formula. I heard other guys were having up take issues this year as well. Why do you cut with water with the tree iv but not the quick jet?
