I voted yes as well, I don't one hand often but I do it when I feel its safer, more efficient, any number of reasons really. And many times its just the release cut that I one hand, I'll make my undercut/face cut/etc with both hands on the saw, than get into a better position or put more...
I've tied my saw on as well once or twice to have some added weight, along with the fact that the groundy was busy doing other things, so it was just as easy to set it on the ground and tie it on.
It's a 12' lanyard scrat, I'd let it go for $25, its used tho. No nicks or anything, just fuzzed up like the first 4-5', since thats what got used the most.
Have some climbing gear up for grabs here guys.
200' KMIII in the green color, not even a year old yet, used maybe 20-30 times, no knicks or anything of the sort. -$80
8' Ring-Ring Friction Saver, never been used, spliced by me. Made out of blue streak and aluminum rings(the ring are marked...
Re: I\'m a Topper !
Awesome video Reg, beautiful work. Just curious, whats it like switching to big conifers like the one you're working in compared to what you did in England?
You talk big Daniel, but don't think you have the brains or skill to make that as smooth as Ben. Maybe if you stopped yapping like a little school girl at people who do things you can't, and actually tried to learn from them, you'd get somewhere in the world. But alas, you won't and never will...
Re: Systems \"Registry\"
I agree with Kevin that we shouldn't be looking to other industries for comparison in regards to SRT. Like he said, they face a whole different set of challenges then we do, and a whole different sets of rules. Hitches are used in other industries because they can't be...
Re: Systems \"Registry\"
I'm with Muggs on this, what he has is no different than a rope wrench set up. Everyone knows the wrench is not life support, its even printed on the side of the device itself. If your hitch were to fail the rope wrench is not going to keep you from sliding down that...
I love my comfort pad, no real weight added overall really. Love the extra padding though, makes it a lot more comfy in my opinion. Worth the $60 they retail for.
Out of all the cinch methods I've probably used the FS method the most. I like it a lot, and the fact I can retrieve through redirects is great as well. My only draw back is its another piece of hardware to get stuck in the tree.
I've used the alpine butterfly cinch as well quite a bit, mainly...
Believe I hit a nail in the first one. That and the 310 lacks a good amount of umph. Been wanting to upgrade to the 362 but Dad doesn't wanna drop the dough on a new saw at the moment.
Finally picked up a GoPro helmet cam a week or two ago. Been messing around with it since then, haven't had any stellar jobs to use it on yet, but some fun ones none the less. Just some random shots I thought I'd throw together and put up.
