Thanks guys. Can't wait to paint chipper this winter all black. Kubota weighs in around 12k. Been looking for a hook lift to match international. Not a bad set up for weekends.
Bigger chip truck is way to go. You'll want a one truck set up, not worry to have to dump by lunch. Sometimes when dumping in spots truck is very big to get in some places but ide rather deal with that
theres times I'm chunking 10' pieces say. no way like a salami cut be in my mind. making more cuts cuz the pieces are smaller is more energy in my book
Nice video travor and welcome to buzz. I'm confused on this cutting method you do. Why not just chunk the wood using snap cuts I think the tech term is. I feel as ur method has no control of the piece for aim and handeling imo
it just works out that way. i use all stihl top handle saws climbing, and i like climbing with 460's how they feel with 20-28" bars. husky's seem a little more rugged being at the yard cutting in rain and snow and the mud etc. the morbark is great, its extremely powerful. it is very heavy...
bigger the chipper the better. you'll make more money with having a good chipper then with a dingo. not everyone has a machine to process brush. everyones got a friend or a cousins friend that has a machine to move stuff to make money or they rent the machine form local rental to feel like a...
Go with a 660/661. I run all stilhls doing tree work and all husky at the wood pile. For years I climbed with a 3120 with 36" bar doing the trunks on tulips threw out Westchester county. For me I want the power, I'm not gonna waste money on ms250's etc, were tree workers not florists You...
for a shop equipped with over head lifting, i don't think it would be hard. i would think some re enforcing strucual for weight of it and adding 2 more out riggers if dosent have rear one 10-15 k? i would estimate
my chainsaw shop is great but i don't always have time to go there. i work on all my saws and another companies so the amount of parts i keep is quite big. as far as saws in stock i got 2 201tc 2 461 and a 88o. he ran a ridiculous deal on ms170's for 110.00 retails for 160 170 ish so i bought...
i dont advertise it but i do it. it happened a lot this year and i just kept it in house on some of them i think they get embarrassed bout it and pay it off even quicker but some will take it to the very last day, annoying but referrals is what the business is built on
I use 1/2 on smaller trees/ branches quick leader. But 9/16 just smidge bigger n holds a lot more. If the tree is big with big wood mixed in on leaders I run my 5/8 so we're not swapping ropes all day. Trunk wood is the 3/4 and 1" boys job.
tbh i sell a lot of saw and repair saws for others and when i go threw a saw all gaskets and seals are being replaced especially bearings. my motto you don't build a second story if you don't know the condition of the bottom. not expensive to replace bearings especially when your putting fresh...
