    Rope ID help

Hey Pard. Thanks for identifying the Dryad. Can you tell me how to identify the size? I see it comes in .375, .500 and .750, is that the inside dia or outside when it is in the round? The other rope seems to be a little different in pattern than the gargoyle I found, this is white and has no...

I got called a "snake," yesterday...

IMHO I would call from another number and explain the situation as to what actually happened. The homeowner made contact with you 1st, set up appt and you showed up at appointed time to bid the job. How anyone other than a jackwad could call that poaching or being a snake is beyond me but they...

    Elbow pain

After 20 yrs in the carpenters my elbows and shoulders are wrecked. Ive had the bad elbow several times, could not straighten out past 70% normal motion. I have had several cortisone shot's put in there and it seemed to speed up the healing process if I did not overdue it while it was healing.

    Getting a CDL

I don't know about any other states but in Illinois it only applies while operating a CMV according to the State Trooper I just talked to. I also looked it up on line and saw that the .04 applies in almost every state for CMV use. I would suggest looking it up or making a call to your states...

    Homemade APTA

Aluminum parts do nothing but save a little weight, and I'll bet that the difference making the pressure chamber and barrel from aluminum compared to steel and PVC are small. I'm only carrying it from the truck to the tree. If a few ounces make that much difference, I probably shouldn't be be...

    Homemade APTA

The pressure side is schedule 40 steel pipe(bursting pressure 6100 psi/working pressure 760 psi) going to a brass 1" butterfly valve. From there forward it goes from 1" nipple to 1.5" schedule 40 pvc which has a pressure rating of 330 PSI. The lowest pressure stated is over twice the pressure I...

    Homemade APTA

I wish I had made a video so ya'll could get a laugh. I built a homemade unit and fired it the first time today and got quite a shock. Loaded with a 16oz weaver bag (a 15oz Forrester bag will NOT fit in a 1.5" tube) and 150lb's pressure. At a 60deg angle it shot about 400' (no throw line...
