No worries. Totally agree with your thought about it being better than an invasive cabling systwm. "Shock absorber" was of course the word I was looking for. Where are you doing your cabling anyway? I´m guessing you´re in the states. I´m in Berlin.

Sorry, I´m stupid! Somehow I didn´t see all of the photos that were already there!
I´m really glad you were nice to the tree.
Some constructive critique? May I? In the name of a good world arboriculture I shall proceed with my positive criticism...
You don´t have the dildo in there (I...
Nice pic, i can see why you wanted to cable it.
I´m really glad you chose Cobra. It´s so nice to the tree! Love to trees, love to trees.

Mostly it seems that there really are so many factors involved that it comes down a lot to whatever you feel easy with when choosing a friction hitch.
I actually feel aesiest right now on a 9mm distel, tied nice and tight, on a High Vee 13mm...
Hi guys.
I hear you talking about footplates for spikes and I´m wondrin if I´ve got something that might be interesting for you. We´ve got some spikes over here (germany) which have been around for a couple of years now which work in what sounds like a similar way to the ones you are describing...
Hi there,
I was actually wondering what Fly is? I guess it´s a kind of climbing rope that we don´t have here in Europe (Germany) but perhaps I´m wrong?!
Sankyou for zee help!

Hello there.
I would like to find out if anybody can claim absolute satisfaction from climbing with either a Marschard or a Valdothain hitch. What I mean by absolute satisfaction is when the hitch allows rope through when needed, but also grips the climbing rope securely when weight is put on it...
