When is the pulley engaged? When the tail is hanging straight down during ascent the pulley seems to add little value.

I know others have asked: source and model for the shackle.
I just blindly went out and got a 1/2" "anchor" shackle. The mouth was too narrow and the pin was too fat! Also, Someone mentioned 20,000 lb WLL, I only see 6000 in the data sheets.
So what's the part number? (please)
