HH carabiner

That does look smooth.

I was thinking to have the shackle on the open side of the HH as an attach point, so that the biner would be pulled more or less parallel with the slot, but perhaps the spine side would work also.

When is the pulley engaged? When the tail is hanging straight down during ascent the pulley seems to add little value.

Or is this for when you add a 3:1 MA loop up to an overhead ascender for a RAD
rig?

not for ascent, not for 3:1. Just when you are moving around the canopy, pulling and tending slack. Makes it more similar to a traditional dDrt climbing system in terms of ease to adjust and tend slack.

Yep, what Jon said. It's just better tending slack across the board. DRT or SRT. Give it a shot and report back.

And if you read this AaronF, thanks!

This is something Dmc has been working on for some time also.

I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall where Dave is tinkering with tree stuff. :)

Chris, any details on where that pulley is supposed to be located or anything different that it does? I know ISC has a wrench pulley with parallel sides. It's different than that right?

SRT
You are correct, putting an ascender or pursik loop above with for example a revolver carabiner or pulley makes it a 3:1 MA like a RADS. Very useful to help with a short ascent or coming back from limb walks etc.

It is 3:1 in this configuration.
