Gecko carbon fiber spikes, yes or no?

The only thing I don't like about the carbon Geckos is the thickness under the heel, Swing mentioned that some while back. In retrospect I would have gone with the aluminum. I would like to try the KK's.

    F**k that single rope shit...

Squirrels make me feel like a painted turtle stuck in a tree...envious, TreeWorks13s avatar is painfully funny.

Well that gives new meaning to that Herb garden, I guess I'll plant Rosemary too. It's more sustainable than dumping in a landfill I suppose.

I wish I had this in high school, I would've abseiled the hell out of there. Joking aside this pack has got my tree brain wheels turning. Maybe a pack like this could be in the general discussion someday...I'll start by calling it the SRT XP LUMBER PACK...

    Bartlett Fail

I made that mistake a long time ago...hinge broke, tree twisted no pull rope. Broke metal roof, rafters, collar ties, soffit, racked the top plate about 1/2", neighbors trust and my confidence. I learned a lot that day. My carpentry skills improved quickly. Pro bono from start to finish.

Are tree climbers/trimmers a dying breed?

Sounds like an honest living to me, the best tree folks I know admit they're slow...and they're still alive to tell me so. And when you take your time your line will tend to flow. Sorry my wife made me a strong mojito.

Are tree climbers/trimmers a dying breed?

Just e.g. Jason, I would likely apply to something like- I'm on the lookout for someone who loves working with trees and plants, is eager to learn more about the young promising field of arboriculture. If you like working hard, have some back round in tree work, are safety minded and like...

What's the best rope for a tree swing?

http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=3&item=5875 I think tenex tec would have a nice feel to it while swinging as well. If I make another one I might go bigger than 14mm and experiment with other brands.
