I've had the most luck with the Zeppelin bend, even after putting a big pull on it I've never had a problem getting it united. I used the twin bowline shown above as well with good success.
Unfortunately I've ruined some rope after pulling hard on an alpine butterfly.
The only time I have encountered them is when a customer had some 3/4" blue ox ropes they wanted hung for rope swings. I looked it up and I think it was listed as 20,000 lbs MBS or in that ballpark. I remember it being slippery and not holding knots very well.
Our new one is a branch manager, and I suspect it will be an easy fix once we actually get a chance to look into it. I believe our older one is from Ryan's equipment, and we've just had bad luck with the wiring on it.
We have two different brands of grapple for our two Avants, both are powered. When they work they are great, but we've had electrical issues with both so far.

That sounds good to me too. Any advice on getting a give to move out of a cavity in a log and into a new home? We removed a tree in March with a sluggish hive, now thriving, that I was hoping to transfer to a hive box.
We generally just use rings for the entire tree unless we're trying to lift things with equipment or the GRCS. What do you see as the benefit of the block for the canopy work? I like the added friction we get up in the tree from the ring.
We're do pretty much everything tree related. At the moment we run Stihl saws and blowers, Bandit chippers, a smaller articulated loader, and a larger track loader. We have separate tools for cabling and bolts, but I'm open to suggestions on cutting ehs cables as well.
I'm looking to put together a tool box for each of our trucks and I'm looking for recommendations of what to put in them. We've currently got two with an odd assortment of tools that get switched between trucks, but I'm constantly making do with the wrong tools. I was thinking about a saw...
