    White oak in decline

The last pic showing the trunk is interesting. Was this oak backfilled around recently? The grade looks high on the deck side but maybe it’s just the angle of the pic…

    HOT! Hydraulic oil tank! Chipper!

Everything Reach mentioned. Also, I’ve had a brand new trailer with really touchy brakes. Turned out that one of the wires on the trailer to the left side brakes was disconnected. Seemed that all the power was going to the right side. Brakes would lock up slightly above the lowest setting

    White oak in decline

If the other oaks in the vicinity aren’t being defoliated then I’d say it’s not gypsy moth (spongy moth). I think something is going on with the root zone with that specific oak

    Verticillium Wilt Japanese Maples

We are seeing signs of declining Japanese maples here in the cape. I haven’t gotten a call from any of my clients yet but have noticed the state of some of the maples just driving around. Foliage is sparse on some. Could be verticillium here too.

Row of dying plants. I’m stumped!

No mulch added. I asked them for a history of what’s been done in the area. Nothing has been done since the installation besides watering Also, there are a few volunteer cherry saplings growing near some of the plants. The volunteers are healthy with no signs of stress

Row of dying plants. I’m stumped!

A client of mine called me over to look at a row of trees and shrubs that are in serious decline. According to my client, these declining plants were installed approximately 5-6 years ago and were in good condition up until the last year or so. Once on site I found a row of different species...

Acer rubrum from my back yard. I’ve never seen this on an over story tree. Unfortunately my septic had to be replaced and this tree had to come down. Bummer

Tree Mek tips from experienced owners and operators

The only issues i have are with the western star truck. I’ll be bringing it to the dealer soon for a leaning airbag and an air leak (possibly caused by the bag). The air tank pressure leaks down from 125 to about 50 psi in two days. The crane itself has been great! No issues yet. Pretty simple...

    Tilted air bag (suspension)

I noticed that my rear, drivers side air bag is leaning (tilted). It’s not leaking yet. I dumped the air in the suspension and then refilled but it didn’t correct the problem. Has anyone dealt with this kind of issue? Any fixes or do I bring it to the dealer right away? The truck only has...
