Vistaprint is not competetive once you go two-sided (D/S). I deal with SpeedPro, a franchise. They're all over the country. I screen-grabbed my Vistaprint design from the VP site cause I like the background, and just gave that image (attached, phone# removed) to SpeedPro. They came out nice...
I just got a call from a local woman who lives adjacent to a township-owned 13 acre lot. She wants some clearing done that the machines didn't get to, mainly around the stream/creek area. Mostly vines and such. But her bigger concern is, once the twp cleared away all the dead trees, it's...
You write very well; you'd B a good technical writer. Ahhhhh-mazing. (Moss is the best ain't he?!??) I'm just kind of surprised that U use this much craft for a Big Shot launch. Compared to my avg. cradle throw max height, I view my BigShot as a GD miracle. Just plain Jane, 8ft 1-piece...
My BS is about 8 years old and I noticed the tubes were getting pretty sketchy last summer 2020. They have what I would refer to as micro-tears, and they're still working perfectly. But as soon as I get a break in my work sched I'll swap it out. Hopefully that'll happen before I get a break...
Fantastic thread, thank you all. Answered all my questions. (Well, I haven't done it yet, but I think that's all the questions I will have };-) Great tips!! I guess Hosocat has a method by now since your post is a few months old, but IMO you should always run the throwline over, and in...
Hey MOSS!!!!!! Awesome to hear from you!! We met a long ago at a Treeman Peter & Patty event. Yes, I was going very easy in both scenarios to NOT cut thru the hinge. And I dont think there was wind in either case. I appreciate your and Phil's comment. I probably could have done without...
Hey look at you GO!!! You typed a useless comment!!! All by yourself!! Now, your childlike sentences are shining brightly on the internet. It's MAGICAL, isn't it, the SOUND of your OWN VOICE!?!!? And you even got a 'like'! YAY! I'm very impressed. Thanks for ANOTHER one of these...
I'm using a CMI double tie-in micro. I think it works great. It allows the rope bridge to spool thru the pulley freely but I don't have issues w/that. Been using this setup with my rope bridge for over a year, since I got the harness.
No, the homeowner wanted the tree out. He wasn't at all interested in a threat assessment. The house was an open target if that maple had fallen west. Yeah I thought I'd get some fur up w/the concrete story. This job was actually supposed to be removing a hanger, which I did. It wasn't...
Thank you all so much for taking time and weighing in. I purchased the MS391, 20" bar. The dealer had it in stock, he's only 10 mins away, and it's almost $200 cheaper than the MS462. The anti-vibe is HELLA improved over my MS310, with springs and cables and what-not. I'm happy with it...
Today I was hired by the NEW owner of a house I use to own, to fell a hollowed out tree that, when I was living there, was a concern for me as well. "Is this tree sound? Does it have enough healing around its edges to make up for the insect devastation in its center?" I know there is a GIANT...
I don't think I'd buy a used saw ever, other than from a friend. Cause people are paying me to show up and work. There's too much that you don't find out until the things are under 'duress', LOL. For instance, I sold a 019T on Craig's, that started fine, but when it got hot, it lost some power...
I appreciate your input, people. I haven't made any purchase yet, and hearing such good things about M-Tronic and the pro grade saws in general, has me warming to the newer technology. I hate to be a "doubting Thomas", but when tree pros say something is good, I put more faith in it than what...
This is a good thread. I'm actually kind of frightened I have something to contribute.
I'm not a cat. Even they don't have nine lives. Maybe the first scenario I describe doesn't qualify as "burning one". But the second one DEFINITELY does.
About ten years ago I was topping (yeah yeah, I...
The larger of my two saws is a (approx.) 15yr old Stihl MS310 w/a 20" bar. That saw don't owe me a damn thing. Most of the time it just sits anyway. I do mostly climbing and pruning. Bigger jobs I do less of. But it's got some hours on it, no doubt. I just had it serviced; it was running...
thank you all. definitely learned some stuff here. Easycast is awesome stuff; it requires 2 days to completely set but once it does itz permanent w/most materials. As for my Silky saw, you're right! I only recently started tree work full time. B 4 this it was supplemental. More than half of my...
