first terrible things to come to mind:
Whip my Trichomes by Willow Smith
Adventitious Bud by Tribal Seeds
The Acer Airspades
I'm Frond of You by Palmageddon
Idk.. Big Pinus and the Screaming Birches?
Quick Google lens search came up with this. Not sure about size but maybe point you in right direction

The other part is common in slacking weblocks, we call them slick pins.. can't seem to find any in u.s./Canada off a quick search but here is one...
I dig most of what he talks about, seems like he might be a solid candidate. I would love to see him debate some of his perspectives in long format. If only we could keep corporate money and mainstream media out of campaigns. Should all just interview in different podcasts lol. Remove the...
Glad to hear you're liking it, it's worked excellent with akimbo, great with compact bull dog bone, and pretty good with a wrench. Not very good with HHFX due to the pivoting swing arm.
3mm (5/32") dyneema by Samson. Made of dyneema, 12 strand and hollow, super easy to splice but slippery like Teflon and not good for knots. Bout 4000 lb mbs, I use the same stuff as a pull cord for big trees.
Nice I remember seeing the tubing style ones around but never tried, I like the concept. This setup gives me about as much travel as I could ever want but the start is a little scrunched. Not an issue with my flexibility though. Overall I still like it more than other knee ascenders I've tried/made.
Quick update, I realized 24" eye 2 eye was too long for bull dog bone. I spliced a 3mm dyneema rope (sk75) to make a compact replacement and it's been working well. Tight eye on one side to avoid cross loading and large eye on the other to girth onto gyro..
Figured I'd share my thoughts on the CBDB (elongated bollard) after a few hours of use rec climbing.
Pros-
First off, Gordon's customer service is top notch, much appreciated. Build quality is excellent, it's a solid and beautiful piece of engineering and the tolerances are dialed in. It has...
I think I found the HH hitch, looks like the easiest hitch ever lol. I saw your hitch and thought it looked too simple, there must be a trace in there somewhere lol. I'll keep this one in mind when I'm testing hitch/cord combos. Thank you
Nice, I couldn't get the arbsession hitch to work too well for me. Michoacán variations and Knut are usually my go to. Haven't heard of the HH hitch, I'll see if I can find it. Is it the one Richard uses? Just ordered my hhfx
That's so annoying, city codes are another story lol. My wife is working on updating our City code regarding landscape planning/trees. Fixing the code is one thing, enforcement is a hole other can of worms that I don't see getting worked out any time soon.
I don't know of any research to confirm root to shoot ratio but pruning one side would be cause some level of stress (as any live pruning). The tree would likely respond with more canopy growth where it was pruned. That may or may not result in some associated root dieback/suppressed secondary...
I got it to work fine with the blue moon with a lil chalk for now. Considering going back to hitches though. Might try out the hitchhiker xf, looks pretty slick.
