From a business case I can understand. Any chance TS can help us cougar-bone lovers (is that ok to write? :-) ) find a "close second". As Steve noted, the process of buying potential alternatives and the expense of failure just sucks.
There has never been a tool made that everyone likes...haven't we all bought a tool because we thought it was cool or just wanted to try it then end up going...meh...cool but not for me?
What's interesting is that the next one offered will go for even more..but after that it will fall.
I predict another one on here for sale in two weeks...
Whenever I see these things I picture beers scattered throughout the trees and you just wander around hanging with your buds having buds - literally. Is that what you are thinking? :-)
Brocky, Doesn't that leave the slack in front of the blue thingy? <-That is technical talk for I don't know what the heck it is. :-)
Seems with the need for the slack to go through the slot and around the biner, slack tending would be a challenge unless I have it all wrong...
Boy that does look like a great design. Is the waist belt easily adjustable?
I have a treemotion and a sequoia and both have some features I love and some not so much. One thing I would love on the treemotion is an easily adjustable waist belt like that on the sequoia.
Hmmm. Interesting.
First off do what you think is good for you...that is all that matters...the rest is conversation and matters less :-)
I don't use anything but the bone, but can see some potential comfort with a back up for ascent. A few times - and as far as I am concerned never...
Not necessarily...you could back up your rope bridge with a second rope bridge wo/an adjuster. Then run both rope bridges through a single ring or other bridge tie in thingy of choice.
In the event that the adjuster and its rope bridge fails due to a fall or whatever, the second rope has your...
THIS IMO. Also you noted that you are also rigging these trees. Keeping the rigging and climbing gear separated is good practice for many reasons, but one big one is a continuous reminder of what the gear is used for. What if a tired or distracted groundie goes to release the wrong...
Very nice. I like it a lot.
One thing about the World Wide Web is that it is - obviously - world wide. I offer that because many times regional businesses forget that and don't offer two things, real person contact information to actually buy the service, and the region they do business...
That is cool. I use the truckers hitch to lash stuff done and the fact that you have a captured bight (the one you clip on the biner) negates that use for me.
I know you offer it as a mechanical advantage...just doubt I would use it that way.
Thanks for sharing. Nicely done video.
