Here are the ALTCC results. There are lots of new guys that are in state. It wasn’t a huge comp by the numbers but, it was good. My goal for this is to get more and more AL people involved. It’s tough sledding as far as that goes but hopefully we’ll get there.
I’m having a time figuring out what’s going on here. I’ve not really been an engine guy most of my life so, a lot of this is somewhat new to me.
The mechanic at the dealership said it sounds like I may be getting some air in the fuel system.
I haven’t figured out the rhyme or reason as to...
I’m looking to to getting grapple truck. I really don’t know a lot about big trucks and I don’t want to get burned on a big purchase like this.
Not looking for a huge truck. Probably something in the 40-60k price range.
What kind of stuff should I be looking for?
What types of loaders have...
It was a fun event. I didn’t post in here that it was coming up and that was my fault but here are the results. We had lots of out of state guys involved that made this happen. That is really wonderful in and of itself. We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year.
I’ve been looking into dw mostly and into Vermeer a little bit also. I’m considering new but I think a used sk 850 would be a good fit for me as long as it’s in fairly good shape.
How many hours do you guys have on yours’? Major repairs that tend to be needed at certain points?
The dw’s Seem...
I’m looking into doing some contract climbing for 1-3 week stints starting maybe later this year or earlier next year. This idea, for me, is for it to be a short-term supplemental income as I hope to grow a business in my area. I’ve got a family to care for and prefer to keep things relatively...
I’m sitting here browsing the arb pro site. Has anybody tried their harness? If their other products are as well thought out and good quality as their evos or clip n steps it makes me wonder.
The guy I work with has a notch log dolly he’s going to see if we can sell. It’s only about a year old. I think he got it last December around this same time. It’s been used occasionally. Maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks. It has sat out in the rain a bit. Asking 400 shipping included in price.
I got one of these a couple of years ago on clearance at a local outdoors store. It's still holding up great. If the new model is the same size then it'll hold 200 feet of 11.8 climbing rope for sure. I love mine. All I ever had before this was just a rope tarp so, my experience with other...
Not sure if this is the best section on the forum but here 'goes anyways. I planted this several years ago and has been healthy until last year. I built my porch 2 years ago and I think I cut a root when I was digging the hole for the posts. Oops! Well anyways, I don't know if that would have...
This may have been discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find anything. I think for I have the term wrong for what I'm trying to describe but, I just roll the end of my rope up at the bottom of the working end of the line make a few wraps and feed a bight through the middle and put the roll through...
im looking for a petzl visor that will fit a newer model vertex vent. I have a kask visor that I bought last summer but the helmet suspension broke and is past the "good through" date. Anybody want to trade visors? Mine is in pretty good shape. A few scratches but not a lot. I'll post a pic here...
Im selling these for a friend. Size 11.5. He wore them one time but, they were too small. Paid 230 for them. Bought from TreeStuff last week. He's asking 200; includes shipping.
Ok guys, I thought I read somewhere that there is a connection point on the back of the harness. If true, is it the center point that was once referred to in product descriptions as a balanced saw attachment point?
If this is true, and wherever it actually is, does anyone here ever utilize that...
I have a used rope runner still in great condition. I tried it for a little bit but, I don't really care for it. I prefer the wrench. It's a Fun device though. It tends slack effortlessly. 285 for the runner and matching biner.
Also I have a haas clip n go I used for a while but don't need it...
My boss has been trying to find these for someone that works with us. He said he thinks they are called Talons. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I've looked at wesspur, bartlets, TreeStuff. No luck. For all I know they may not even make em anymore.
I did a search and found no threads. Has anyone dropped the $$$ on this thing to see how it performs? Any better than the APTA? Accuracy, height, ease of use etc...
