There are a ton of stupid habits in tree work.
My bet that most of us succumb to our backs and joints rather than our chainsaws. Poor ergonomics is practiced far more than anything else dumb or stupid.
Not advocating one handing. Time and place.
Just stating that one gets you today, the...
Hmmm I'll look into that now. I was under the impression that it was much higher. No excuse for my ignorance. Thanks guys.
I've got to several local "yard sale" types of groups on FB, but don't think that's the type of social media thing to get much from. I did put lots of pics. I'll keep...
Old thread but there seems to be quite a jump here. Lots of stuff calling for fairly large investment on a part time, up and comer.
I found this because I am in the same dilemma. I want to get my name out there, around the area I live, which is outside the service area of the company I work...
Try Bartlettman arborist supply
I tried to copy a link to escalator but it didn't give me a full link for some reason. Use the search function on their website.
Not sure if they ship internationally.

Not me. Just put the homebrew HAAS back on. Takes all of 15 seconds to get from stowed position to using. 15ft is about the threshold for that sort of thing.
Metolious quarter dome.
150ft rope
100ft reep schneer for canopy anchor retrieval
Buckingham mesh tool bag with biners, eye and eyes, all kinds of other shinannigans,
Throwline cube
Treemotion with hand saw
Kask super plasma
I rarely keep my saddle or helmet and handsaw in there but...
How big is your chipper? If it can take those whole stems then block lanes accordingly, fell towards where the picture is taken from, one at a time. Doesn't look difficult to do from that angle. Winch into chipper (facing against traffic flow, its blocked, remember?) have another truck on stand...
Speak up. It's always quieter in the tree than on the ground, unless you're above a building or fence that's blocking a louder noise. Don't get pissed and be a diva bitch when the groundie can't hear you.
Establish a plan on the ground and communicate it, and if the groundie is affected and...
