That defect ever been measured? Might benefit from some cross rodding to lessen chance of a sideways torque vertical split? Beautiful tree, nice job.

    Little Crane That Could

LMI is a bit of a waste of money imo. Once it is detached you can't put it back.

I like the suspenders and hardly need to tighten the belt, fits like a vest. More comfortable than those nut crushing saddles all the kids like.

    Cambistat/TGR's

Thanks a lot for the study. I see what they call "yellow poplar" Lirodendron, was not negatively affected by the treatment. That is what I plan to use it on. Boy I used to have "every "Journal of Arboriculture" to the beginning of time...then books just kind of displaced them on my shelves...

Very usable, but more so if it was rear mount. The cut and hang technique enhances use on them and eliminates shock load on the boom and puts it on the tree.

Hope that is not the case as that would inhibit recovery from my reduction plans.

Anybody have any documented success with Cambistat? I have a giant tulip next to my house and I love it but it is challenged by soil volume available. It is walled in for root expansion by the house and a drop down to the sidewalk wall and driveway wall. This Space made it happy when it...

New Toro Tx 1000 Wide Track

My tx1000 with Toro grapple would grab that piece, curl it up, and literally toss it mid truck. This guys bmg flops all over because he has the difficult job of finding the precise balance point, he has to drop and re grab, he barely gets over the drop point in the truck as it hangs so low...

Shigo...nobody else up there has done one thing for me. Not that I don't respect them...but "legends?"...kind of the way the term "hero" is thrown around these days.

I really am not sure as property values dropped a bit ago but have come back up. Similar property down the road is for sale for 1.2 million. I live in a relatively small house around the corner from this one.

Thanks a lot. Yeah I love that house and it was where our town had a meeting and named the town. The new young owners have spared no expense in total renovation.

    Bluebird SG1314A Stump Grinder

Welcome to you too Bill. My advice is if you are looking for the smallest usable cheapest walk behind....I'd go Toro stx 26. Most rental places run them and they must be tough. I owned one prior to upgrading to a stx 38 and we got lots of use from it. Green teeth, change in 20 mins, have 3...

I have had it for quite a while but just to add one thing....my newish Dingo TX 1000 is just an amazing machine and it continues to impress me daily...and I think I had the top of the line in the Dingo 525TX before I got this one.

Have no idea why some of these picts are appearing sideways. Just finished this $8400. removal yesterday. No early picts but way over the roof of this slate roofed circa 1850's stone home. Real hard getting equipment in and material out due to very steep driveway. Had to bring my crane in...
