    Garage find 200t

Pull the spark arrester, remove the screen and put the carrier slide back in. Jet it accordingly. Next, and this is going to sound funny, file the back of each tooth up to the " guide "line. It removes a bunch of mass from the chain and let's it spool up faster. The other advantage is it helps...

    Elliott cranes

As of January this year there is no more derating cranes to allow an under qualified operator to run a heavier machine. So in other words get a 339a licence and buy whatever you want. If not you're going to have to stick to 15 ton or less with a 339c or 8 ton or less with a certificate.

Out of curiosity, what does your lim read with nothing on the hook?

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

Deduction on the load chart for a stowed jib varies depending on boom length even though it's on the heal section. As it was explained to me, it's the same for a hose real. The deference being that the not a deduction on the.chart it shows up as additional load on the hook.

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

It shouldn't be because of the hose reel etc. it would be programmed to show as load on the hook that changes depending on boom length and angle

    10 minute rant

    Safety bonus

X2. Unannounced sight visits at bigger companies seems to work well for enforcement at bigger companies. Most of the time I find that crews will police themselves and inform management if there is a issue that can't be resolved. Giving formen complete support in those cases goes a long way to...

Fines for climbing dead ash trees

As I've worked with eab trees almost exclusively for the last few years. I've developed more of a strategy of dealing with them instead of testing them. I go to work every day and assume that an ash is lurking somewhere, waiting to kill me. I'll never know which one, so I treat them all with...

Fines for climbing dead ash trees

Pull test seems all well and good as long as the tree passes.......

    grapple truck

You'd be limited to the swl of the rotator then not the boom. Better to just remove the grapple, pic the tree down and put the grapple on to load. Worst case you have a pin and 4 quick connect hyd fittings

Fines for climbing dead ash trees

Some municipalities are stipulating in their ash removal tenders that zero climbing is to be done( lifts and cranes only) . As far as fines.... Who and where? That'd be one slippery slope!

    Poplar removal

Nope, those people would be wrong. His old machine was exactly the same as the new one with the exception of less counter weight making it a 55.
