10 minute rant

I did five years at a muni forestry gig. Good pay, great benefits, decent work and awesome hours. The downside was...well it was a muni job. The management were aweful and it created a toxic work environment. Morale was always low and it became a pretty depressing place to show up to everyday. I was starting to drink and smoke myself to sleep every night. The saying around there was "I've got the best job at the worst place". It took me three years of hard work, taking weekend courses, volunteering, and studying but I finally made it out of that shit hole and into another industry. I now have the best job at the best place (no I don't work at Treestuff). I still have good wage, benefits bla bla bla but I truly enjoy the field I'm working in, and I get to do contract tree jobs on the side (which is easier on my body and doesn't get old doing it every day). My point is some people can cope with working at a place like that and it doesn't sound like you're that kind of guy. Don't tie yourself to a job if it makes you miserable, life is too short. Doesn't mean you need to quit tomorrow but don't be afraid to put in some hard work and do a little soul searching, it could be the best thing that's ever happened to you. My rant is over.

I've seen plenty of guys in blue trucks staring at clouds as well so I wouldn't paint everyone
Is that blue trucks that are followed around by ems, just in case? I saw them send 3 trucks to hunt for a phone the driver lost while illegally dumping, interrupted my nap the inconsiderate douche.
