Electric chip, bucket, and log trucks... chippers?

Thanks for all the info. I might just take you up on that offer. It would be cool to see one in person kicking major tree ass. Funny how something can materialize into a made up rumor. Thanks for clarifying. 800 hrs in One year. You guys use that often. I only clocked 220hrs on my easy lift...

Electric chip, bucket, and log trucks... chippers?

Of course he would have to add a generous amount to trade the spider lift in but he's really interested. I'll relay the info to him thanks. Does driving over the road hurt the transmission like I read online?

Electric chip, bucket, and log trucks... chippers?

I actually don't, we trailor ours on a tilt deck and shut down winters staying off the salt roads. Midsota may make them. Reon Rounds had one built for his spider lift back in day.

Electric chip, bucket, and log trucks... chippers?

I'd be interested to learn more about run times/charge times. How it does moving about on tracks. My easy lift has an electric motor you can plug in to operate. I believe the movements are slower than the diesel counterpart. My buddy wants a merlo. He drools over them. He wants to trade his...

Electric chip, bucket, and log trucks... chippers?

I would really like to hear you're opinion once you start running this hybrid easy lift. We have the 87-48aj and it's been an absolute pleasure to run. What a weapon! Up Equip has also been very helpful along the way.

This chipper as you say is great. Very fuel efficient and still has plenty of tourqe. I was going to keep it as a backup chipper but need to make way for a new peice of equipment.

Articulated Loaders.... Rear Steer or Front Steer?

Haha that's awsome. I was thinking of getting a fixed rotating grapple for the 860I and also one that comes with a hanger. Such as a branch manager or the heavy duty avant grapple. I think that is a huge advantage on some jobs to be able to lift trees while they remain vertical. This machine...

Articulated Loaders.... Rear Steer or Front Steer?

Thanks for the recommendation on the fixed grab. The cab is a no Brainer in my opinion because the door lifts up and off with no tools required "glass might be a pita to keep clean" Best of both worlds. Do you think you could use the fixed grab to grab tree while upright, cut, transport and...

    Body care

Invest heavily in equipment to mechaniz your work (I.E. Spider lift)"This turns tree work from a job into a career" @oceans brother said this to me when I went down to see their operation. That's echoed in my head ever since. Learn single rope technique if you haven't already. Good luck -Will

    Pole Saw Laceration

That same thing happened to me when I first started out. Hung the pole saw above me while climbing. When I advanced, I knocked it free. Hit me right on my middle knuckle. That took a while to heal.

Articulated Loaders.... Rear Steer or Front Steer?

I'm looking at getting into a 860I Looked at this unit with the northeast USA rep today. They don't have any in stock so I have to look at customers machines. This one was open cab but I like the idea of a cab with heat and ac. How do you like the fixed grapple. Thinking of getting a dangle...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

I recently purchased a spider lift and do not bone nearly as much as I used too. But I know the ultimate climbing device is always a bag away. I love the bone so much, I bought a spare BDB along with 4 spare elongated bollards and 4 spare spines. I have a life time supply. Unless my lift...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

Thank you for posting this. This is the swivel I use for my bridge while using the bone. It's been 5 plus years with no incident. I'd be nice if they told us the circumstances under how this came about. I'll order a rock exotica swivle immediately. I'm done with DMM
