    Storm Work & Insurance Question

All worked out with this job! Neighbor got back in touch with me a few days ago and was happy to have us move the pieces off his roof and set them on the ground and was totally onboard signing a liability release. Got all of the hazardous stuff done and on the ground yesterday afternoon and now...

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

I had our k-boom operator check things out this afternoon and he made the call that we can't guarantee doing this as hoped without possibly moving the neighbors side so we will wait until this plays out. Reality is with how the tree fell, the neighbors side needs to be removed first :rolleyes...

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

Yes, but neighbor is convinced its not his or his insurance's problem so hasn't. I was able to get about 30 seconds in during the 20 minute phone call if that tells you anything.

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

After a bit of phone tag I was able to have a conversation with the neighbor and think we're actually on the same page for what we're planning on doing. Originally I was thinking we would secure, cut and lower the branches to the ground so we could finish the spar but now we will leave those and...

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

Good thought, it sounds like neighbor does understand my customers insurance is only covering the one property but obviously isn't happy with that. I called him back but had to leave a voicemail of my own. We shouldn't really need to be on neighbors property at all, planning to use our k-boom...

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

Thanks for the reply… I’d argue the tree is potentially going somewhere as both main leads are hanging on by a few fibers (Monday is literally the soonest I can be out). How long do you wait for neighbor to get his insurance out? This happened over a week ago now.

    Storm Work & Insurance Question

This is a slight variation I haven't come across yet so wondering what advise anyone can offer. Here's the scenario...My customer's tree failed in a storm last weekend and is laying on his house as well the neighbors to the south. He just got his insurance sorted out and signed the work order...

    Chipper Knife Sharpening?

I did a search and there weren't any posts less than 3-4 years old and so much has changed...Anyways, looking for recommendations on where to send of knives to have them sharpened and how much to expect to pay for it. I fit two sets (8 knives) in a medium flat rate box so figure it should be...

    Echo DCS-2500T

It's interesting how out of touch it seems to be. I'd think engineering/ testing/sales would see the differences in performance and not want to handicap their products. I'd have to imagine any and all feedback from field testing with tree workers would be that 1/4" is better.

    Echo DCS-2500T

Does anyone know why echo wouldn't have 1/4" pitch standard? I switched my 2500 to 1/4" right away because how much my 2511 improved going 1/4"; it was a totally different saw. Are there disadvantages with 1/4" I'm missing?

Gear for sale (t-rex harness, andrew c boots & more)

likewise, thanks for smooth transaction on your end too! Bittersweet getting rid of the bdb, but it wasn't been getting the use it deserves. My climbing has morphed into basically a 50/50 mix of single/double rope even within the same climb and the zigzag accommodates that best for me
