i bought echo 400 saw i am impressed with the low maintain but not the power. 5 year warranty i keep it at home my wife runs it for her " projects" perfect small homeowner saw.
too much to risk for my altec i do however rest large logs on brim of bucket. 550 lb max. I use a retired truck to move logs and put a hair line crack in bottom boom near cylinder. Almost didnt noticed it. Accident waiting to happen

Topping. Sounds like an avoided subject for most. I seen a white oak that had been topped but recovered at a new customers home. That thing is about 75 ft tall now and part way over the house. Mercy that thing is gonna make a mess someday. I gave her a pamphlet on topping. Food for her thought.
