    Trail Cam and Wildlife Thread

I've had a pair of Red Shoulder hawks nest in my back yard about 50 or 60 feet from my back porch for the last 3 years. I would love to put a camera on the nest. We also have a family of Barred Owls nesting on back in the woods. They are hilarious when a group of them start to laugh.

    Boots and boot care?

Socks too. I do merino wool socks year-round even here in the deep south. The best I have found is the Darn Tough T4021 boot sock. The footbed of this sock is like an extra insole pad. Plus guaranteed for life.

Temporary rope cable to climb above a bad codom in a catalpa

I have seen that type of defect on numerous Catalpa's over the years. It seems to be a typical failure with them.

Opinions on Bandit 65xp with 25hp

I would maybe check with Bandit and see if you could put a 35hp on it when the engine would need replaced. Just a thought.

Opinions on Bandit 65xp with 25hp

When I was in business, I had a Mighty Bandit for my first chipper. It was the predecessor to the 65XP. The Mighty was a scaled down design of the larger Bandit 100 and 200 machines with a 20 HP Kohler. The entire machine sucked. It was ok if there were no leaves on but once tree's leafed out it...

When I have tried on the Arb Evo boots, I have found them to be just a bit too narrow, otherwise I would give these a shot. Good deal for someone though.

    Broken man, extreme burnout

It is the solstice. Every year when I was in business, I always had a big mental slump coming into and just after the solstice. Getting to a conference or trade show managed to pull me out of it.

Free fall with Rope Runner Pro

I have had almost the same experience except without the pitch with my RRP. It has gotten to the point that I am seriously thinking about selling it. I retrieved my OG runner with the baby bump from my northern gear stash and like it so much better other than putting it on and off the rope. My...

    New saddle for heavy guy?

I have the MB-1.0 with the 1.0 suspenders and love it. I am 6'4 but have recently dropped some weight. I am averaging about 275 out of the shower these days. I would love to have the MB 2.0 but can't really justify it at my age. I will be celebrating another trip around the sun in a few days and...

The most wrecked chipper knives I've ever seen.

Looks like they tried to chip a section of curb.
