    In a global economy, the Tariffs being proposed, will only increase our costs, and strengthen commerce by and between other nations. I remember when Japanese products were inferior, but the world economy has changed.

    IF tariffs are imposed there is likely to be long term damage to our export markets across the board, as other countries turn to more open markets elsewhere, not to mention that Treasury bonds as an investment can be used as retaliation by countries which hold our debt.
