    Macrocarpa Pics?

There were several other smaller rows and groups of them, along with some other species. The job produced 230m3 of woodchip from pruning only, no removals!

    Macrocarpa Pics?

Did a lot of pruning on macros at a heritage site, no removals sorry... First here's an avenue we cleaned of dead, broken branches and stubs and also took some end weight out over-extended laterals on the outer faces.

    Longest pair of chainsaw pants

Pfanner have a +7cm version as mentioned earlier. Have you tried these before Ethan? I think the leg length is fairly generous as oceans has found, but still maaaybe a little shy for you??? It may be possible to have a pair custom made by them too. Let me know if you want me to look into...

    Escalator Vs HTP access rope

Hey Rob! One thing to consider for travelling with an access line is "stowability". I have a stupidly long 130m length of HTP for tall tree access which i dig the performance of, but it is very stiff to stow into a bag and therefore very bulky. A soft, supple, very stowable, lightweight, low...

    Maple Tree Removal Timelapse

Nice to see a family working well together. As Daniel said, it looked like most if not all of the tree could be felled, but it is also cool at times to climb because you WANT to and not only be driven by outright production. I agree Tom, it's just good practice to rake as you go & keep the...

    New Boots!

Hey Winch, sounds like better pants is the answer! Some Pfanner trousers have built in gaitors with a little hook that clips down onto the laces to do a good job of keeping debris out of your boots.

    Your best photo of 2011.

Mine would be this one. 65m Euc regnans removal in a nice garden. I don't get out of the office and shop much nowadays, so it was a good, challenging tree for me to go climb, along with testing out some new products. Youtube video here...

Cool question! I remember going from english prusik loop and steel screwlock carabiner to a "French Prusik" which turned out to be a VT the day after seeing the then current world champion Dan Kraus do a demonstration climb at what i think was the first Tree climbing competition in Victoria...

    Rope Wrench Ruminations

[ QUOTE ] I used the left footed pantin to advance and because the distances were relatively short I was able to get a pretty good purchase on the main stem with the right foot....so it was like walking if you can picture that. [/ QUOTE ] Hey Reg, can i ask, are you left footed? Just...
