    It's 8mm rope (sirius?) doubled. Has a rope cover over that, so it's 17mm, I think.

    Adam, the fmblsaver is great! It is simple and works well with our rough barked trees. The friction really is a middle ground, though I'd lean more towards the friction being like climbing off a pulley. I was surprised on the lack of feedback too, it's kind of a bombproof underdog...     Very nice ropeshield. I have always advocated for Education over 'elimination'. We are still firing teachers, but manage to keep fighting wars and inflating the defense budget. Sad, sad, sad.

    It's a good point, Jomoco. Answer is no, I am generally conservative and if they do lock it down, there is not much worry. I go through several ground guys every year and like to get them up to speed quickly. Having a bucket for our use is a good way to take large pieces and have them get down...
