Was just reading the thread regardimg scandere and how it doesnt get along with the zig zag very well either. Thats interesting. I wonder why, the runner likes it just fine.
Im also curious about the wear. Most of the reviews so far have been with brand new devices. I saw someone say they climbed on 10mm with it. Maybe that was a new device. With the zig zag, its a good idea to start with a skinny and work up to a fatter rope. If you start with a 12, a smaller...
Just had a go with courant squir... did not hold my weight. That is tightly woven 11.5 supposedly, looks like an 11.
Disclaimer: this is a pre production model that i have been playing with and it has more than a few months of heavy use. It might be worn out a bit. I know the zig zag...
Just got to play on a reflex for the first time. Didnt hold on kernmaster very well but Ran well with a wrench. To be fair kernmaster is 11 mm and so outside the recomended ropes. Put it on scandere and slid right to the ground. That is an 11.7 and it was brand new and quite slick. It...
Dont accept missing. That will teach you its okay to miss. If your not hitting at work, practice at home. Missing is all in the head so practice on something wide open and low you that you can make at a high percentage so your body gets used to making it. If i start shooting at a target i...
Points all very well taken. I still think both the bollard version of the runner and the pulley version are the best climbing tools out there. Even the short attachment on its a sweet device
If you havent climbed on one because of brand politics thats up to you. I personally think your...
Are you talking about the vertec? Or the RRP? As for 3:1. I just do it and let go and its fine. If you maintain weight on the tail it holds it open and that can be a problem. I do it without much thought at all, but it is definitly not its strong suit. The instructions say dont, so dont...
If you get a vertec now, it shouldnt be an issue. But yeah the whole situation has been unfortunate. I didnt catch the problem because all my biners are round and so were the biners of the other four testers. That was bad and sloppy testing procedure no doubt!.
it is still the best device...
As for the initial attachment point issue, all new runners have the longer attachment point. But if you have an older attachment point, a round carabiner works fine, the I-beam construction carabiners will glitch on you.
It has not been handled great i must admit. New attachment points...
