Broke two rules and paid the price.

Cheap second hand chaps. Were they not covering that part of your legs? Or did the saw go right through them? What sort of chainsaw?

    New device from ISC

My theory is that the reflex relies on a prerry sharp ede on the top link to initiate the grab. I notices that i was using that top link to dig into the rope almost as a brake. It is not necesarry to do that but it would give me extra control. Once that edge rounds out, than it will not grab...

Only the squir. And yes it holds. A bit more jumpy on the skinnier smoother lines.

Was just reading the thread regardimg scandere and how it doesnt get along with the zig zag very well either. Thats interesting. I wonder why, the runner likes it just fine.

Im also curious about the wear. Most of the reviews so far have been with brand new devices. I saw someone say they climbed on 10mm with it. Maybe that was a new device. With the zig zag, its a good idea to start with a skinny and work up to a fatter rope. If you start with a 12, a smaller...

    New device from ISC

Just had a go with courant squir... did not hold my weight. That is tightly woven 11.5 supposedly, looks like an 11. Disclaimer: this is a pre production model that i have been playing with and it has more than a few months of heavy use. It might be worn out a bit. I know the zig zag...

Just got to play on a reflex for the first time. Didnt hold on kernmaster very well but Ran well with a wrench. To be fair kernmaster is 11 mm and so outside the recomended ropes. Put it on scandere and slid right to the ground. That is an 11.7 and it was brand new and quite slick. It...

    Throw bag-line accuracy issues

Dont accept missing. That will teach you its okay to miss. If your not hitting at work, practice at home. Missing is all in the head so practice on something wide open and low you that you can make at a high percentage so your body gets used to making it. If i start shooting at a target i...

    New RopeRunner?!?

Points all very well taken. I still think both the bollard version of the runner and the pulley version are the best climbing tools out there. Even the short attachment on its a sweet device If you havent climbed on one because of brand politics thats up to you. I personally think your...
