The Nightline piece aired on October 23rd of 2008. If you go to www.abcnews.com/nightline and click on the 'Into the Wild" box, you'll find it - about a 6 or 7 minute video. Also, the guide service we used is at www.pacifictreeclimbing.com - the climb cost us $200 ea. just fyi- rlpstpaul

Hi All. Well - I just did my first rec climb with a buddy, and it was a blast! We hired a guide near Eugene, Oregon, and climbed a 258 foot Douglas Fir. Very competent folks, and very safety minded. How old is too old to climb??
Well, geez...I'm 50 and just climbed a 260 footer - hope to do it again when I am 60. I wouldn't say "50 is pushing it"!- rlpstpaul
