    My understanding is that the bollard uses the same material as the cam in their D4 descenders which should be an upgrade from previous wrenches. Like you mentioned though only time will tell!

    System shows a fresh 656' reel + 1 cut open reel at around 300'. Its definitely a niche item. I've been trying to get my hands on their Ocean Dyneema 7mm too. Its a little more supple and fits well inside the enclosed DMM thimbles. They don't sell it in bulk though (only as a finished loop)...

    We have one that we brought home from TCI Expo. Going to climb on it tomorrow. We will follow up with initial thoughts! Regarding the akimbo, not sure if anyone saw it at the Expo but it looks like the next version only only will have one adjustable bollard, pretty interesting.

    Class I splice for Class II rope

    Just an FYI for next time, there is a D Splicer Class II double braid splice that buries the tail. Its a bit more time consuming but visually looks nicer than the Samson Style Class II double braid that ends with a whipped cover tail. Done correctly both should yield the same strength.
