Fu*%face Von Clownstick

Sounds brutal. Hasn't it been tough sledding in the Midwest for a long time though? Things are pretty flourishing where I am. It's slowed and changed a bit for me but I think that's the post covid low. Generally though the juice is flowing.

Yea, the economy is looking pretty great around here. Folks are building bigger crews and buying tons of equipment. Everyone is starting entry level, as well as low skill jobs, higher than state minimum wage. I can't think of anyone around here other than the big farms that use undocumented workers, though they use a lot. They're building sooooo many entire neighborhoods for 1000's of people who seem to fill them up as fast as they get built. Next time you hear a bunch of bellyaching about the economy, tell them that if they don't like it, they can move to California, or Colorado, or whatever.

I had never heard of the Washington Times. It popped up first in the Google machine. But
I gotta think they’re still a step above MSNBC or CNN if we’re judging bias/credibility as a news organization. ;)

FWIW the same Monmouth poll was cited by Fox News, Bloomberg, and Yahoo News among others. I’ll spare you the screenshots. Point is, his numbers aren’t great. So now I’m confused. Because @rico tells me we’re living the dream; it’s the roaring 20’s all over again, milk and honey everywhere- including his pecan tortilla.

Problem is my damn lying eyes and ears. I haven’t met a single person in recent memory who has anything good to say about the economy. No one- and we work for customers of all backgrounds and income levels. No one thinks things are good because they aren’t. No one is talking about how easy it is this year to buy Christmas presents. Because it’s hard. You get the point. My theory is that people vote their experience. They trust their gut and their eyes more than any article in the NYT about how everything really is great- when food and rent are about all you can muster.

If and when people vote for Trump it has little to do with the man. He is simply a GIANT middle finger to the people currently presiding over our obvious and precipitous decline. He’s just a symbol. A wrecking ball for an elite administrative class that should have been condemned years ago.
So Trump, the man who inherited nearly Half A Billion Dollars from daddy dearest is gonna be a wrecking ball to the elites? Fucking priceless bro.

And as much as you want it to be so, the narrative in your head can never change reality.

unemployment rate when Donny left office - 6.3%
current unemployment rate under Biden - 3.7%

Jobs created during Trump presidency - net loss of nearly 3 million jobs
Jobs created during Biden presidency - nearly 14 million so far.

The GDP grew by 1% during the Trump presidency, which is the slowest growth in modern history (since WW2).

3 million less Americans had health insurance under Trump

Federal debt increased by almost 7 trillion dollars under Trump

That my friend is what a failed presidency and an unmitigated economic disaster looks like. Thanks for nothin’ Donny.

Why is The Duck now trying to take credit for Biden's economy?
Food for thought.
The fact that Donny is trying to take credit for our current economic numbers speaks volumes, and is an admission that the economy is growing under the Biden administration. Donny better be very careful though, because his brain dead cult members might start believing that the economy is in fact progressing and getting better.

I’m not sure which Ohio @Bucknut is living in where it’s all doom and gloom and the economic sky is falling, but the real Ohio here In Merica currently has an unemployment rate of 3.6%, and a Real GDP growth of nearly 2% thus for in 2023. Again nothing earth shatterin, but progress

The Colorado supreme court just declared him ineligible to be on the 2024 ballot in that state based on the 14th amendment, which I was genuinely not expecting to happen. Has two weeks to appeal until the state's deadline for candidates to be on the primary ballot. The US supreme court could also weigh in to vacate the state court's ruling so.. I give it 50/50 I guess

this is very good news…

If they can't stop Trump through these legal proceedings, and it looks like he will beat Biden in an election, it seems likely that they will find some pretext, war, terror attack, or pandemic, to cancel the election alltogether.

Would you support the canceling of the election to save the democracy from the threat to it that a second Trump presidency would pose?

I think many here would.

Order was stayed by the same court that issued it. Nothing changes until Jan 4.

Colorado Supreme Court is comprised of 7 Dems and the vote was still 4-3. Make of that what you will.

Fascinating that in order to “save our democracy” one side refuses to simply let us vote. Ah yes, that purest and most elusive form of democracy: distant unelected lawyers get to decide which candidates are suitable to appear on the peasants’ ballots.

This should end well.

For a few minutes earlier I thought maybe you were absorbing some facts and pausing to think about them. Then these two box of rocks showed up and you chucked that all aside and jumped back on the idiot wagon. ***sigh**

You do realize the documents in question are not Donny’s to keep, or steal..
what are yo talking about... these aren't the ones that were found in maralgo... Trump wanted to declassify them andmake them public because he thought that would help his case. It therefore would not have been him who made theme dissappear.. that makes about as much sense as the Russians blwoiong up their own pipeline..

I love the slight of hand that the Trumpster's are constantly attempting to pull off. Trump is being held accountable for his illegal attempts to overturn/undue the 2020 election, and you folks are calling that accountability "election interference".

Now MAGA is suggesting that the Dems will "cancel" the 2024 election, when it was IN FACT Trump who tried to postpone the 2020 election (something he had zero power to do).

The never ending attempts to turn reality upside down are fucking shameless and as dishonest as the day is long.

We wont forget the fact that Trump was caught red handed multiple times for attempting to interfere in our elections. Now you want to scream "foul" because he is being held legally accountable for his words and actions.

We won't forget the fact that Trump wanted and attempted to "postpone" the 2020 election. Now you are insinuating that the Dems will cancel the 2024 election on the pretext of a pandemic or war.

The old trick of blaming others of committing the crimes you are guilty of committing. I believe it's what's called projection, and somehow Donny has gotten a few million cult members to do his projecting for him. The very definition of a cult of personality.

It’s like they want him to win. Major boost in fundraising and fire up his base even more. With no chance this actually goes anywhere.

They will have a myriad of means to try to derail the will of the people so they may not have to go to that extreme.

But I suspect you would support it. What if there is a power blackout in key swing states and CNN says that 50 intelligence agencies beleive Putin did it?
