You guys don't like the spliced eyes more? I'm using the maxi flip sports it's a really smooth finish with the splice and it's less likely to fail all at once, not that it likely to happen anyways.NICE!
What brand of flipline? They swage the rope in with the cable, which is what I want.
I see.If I'm just bypassing limbs to set rigging or a top rope on a removal tree, situations like that.
Never run that one, but have run the RG55, and it’s was a great machine for its size. And I will agree with you, the metric system makes much more sense. Or at least pick one, quit building trucks half and half!View attachment 82678View attachment 82679
Good grinder this. Stupid imperial nuts and bolts etc. But well built.
Fair enough. We keep a Bandit SG75 busy usually a solid two days a week.I am looking at getting a bigger grinder, and a 55 would be my weapon of choice.
Just don’t get enough grinding though.
How does that work in an emergency?I use 2 flip lines, both 12 ft it helps with work positioning, usually when I'm climbing up especially on pines I don't use my climb line just the 2 flips and keep a snap on my climb line with a descender ready to go so I just have to flip it around if I need to get out.
I would just flip my rope clip it and bail, I always atach the rope any time I'm cutting larger branches or wood. When I'm doing prunes I'm usually srt.How does that work in an emergency?
That means standing in spurs up and down.
