I get that teachers aren’t thrilled to go back, but at this point the damage done to kids (social, academic, mental health, nutritional) from staying home is too great. No one is happy about working in a pandemic. How about the poor ladies (and lads) working the grocery stores? Tremendous risk, low pay, little or no paid time off. Yet we expect them to be there. If teachers don’t want to go back, fine. Just don’t pay them. Bout a month with no pay tends to work wonders for your viral risk tolerance.

How are teachers going to teach if there are outbreaks within the schools?
 
The same way grocery store clerks keep selling groceries when there’s an outbreak in the store. You go to work. Take precautions. Come to grips with the fact that the death rate is absurdly low for people in the average teacher’s age group.

Given the huge crowded parties and even festivals that were shown on the Today Show this morning we should realize that the virus is already uncontainable and that too many people are just not going to comply with best practices. With this in mind we should admit that we’re going to have to confront and deal with it, not keep hiding in our basements.

So someone who was dumb enough to vote for and support Donald Trump is now telling us that we just have too confront and deal with Covid? Fucking Priceless.

We are loosing 1000 American a day to cover right now... What do you reckon is gonna happen when we open up the petri-dish known as school...2000 a day? 3000 a day 4000 a day? How many dead American is too many Buck?
 
We tried a balancing act for these first few months. IMO, it’s become very clear that it is impossible to both contain this virus and have a functional economy. Containment requires economic shutdown. Americans won’t submit to that. If you want the government to exercise total control over the economy (and thereby our lives) then you’d better move somewhere the government has total authority.

(Or just wait a few months till Hidin’ Biden takes over)

Remember the Spanish flu killed between 500,000 and 850,000 Americans. This was still only between .48 and .81 of the population. Less than 1 percent no matter how you slice it. And it was FAR deadlier than Covid. All we’re doing now is crashing the economy while delaying the inevitable.
 
It’s been shown that shutting down and stay at home orders work. If we had did a proper shut down in the beginning for a longer amount of time nationwide, not every state for itself, we might be in a better position.

It’s not controlling our lives, it’s taking necessary action during a direct public health threat.

It’s out of control because not everybody is working together to get it under control and instead pretending like it’s not as bad as it really and not following the precautions.

And the ones that aren’t taking this virus seriously are the ones perpetuating the length we are in this situation.

This attitude of it’s hear so let’s just deal with it is plain stupid and ridiculous.

You are being plain ignorant!

People of all ages are dying from this virus. Teenagers. Kids. Babies. Young adults. People who were perfectly healthy with no prior health issues. And some who do recover are left with long term heart and lung damage.

That isn’t to mention that someone who tests positive but doesn’t get real sick or even has little to no symptoms at all can still pass the virus on to someone who could get real sick or even die from it.

Get your head out of your ass and start being a part of the solution and not the problem.

I think it was 62 consecutive nights of violent riots. That’s enough. I don’t know the specifics of the mayor or the “Moms”, but as with nearly every single person gassed in the last 3 months, they likely got it because they wouldn’t follow simple lawful orders. How many warnings did they ignore before they got it? Probably on video somewhere.
 
Both the mom squad and the Mayor of Portland where exercising their constitutional right to peaceful protest when they were gassed by Donny's Goon squad.....You down with that Buck?

COVID deaths are 159,913
Percentage of deaths/population = .048 percent

Less than 5 100ths of 1% dead.

To put it another way... if you multiplied the current number of dead by 20 (twenty!) it would still be less than 1% of the US population.

Now, as for Trump’s interview... no excuse for that showing. No preparation, looked like a proper wanker. As I’ve said before, he’s not all that bright and sometimes he highlights that fact. By speaking:LOL:.

What makes me sad is the fact that Trump never can be honest. Either he presents "alternative facts" or (like in this case) he comes around with opportune graphics which in no way can be used to do a comparison with other countries.

Not the number of Covid-19 victims is the point here, rather the fact that the USA doesn't have one of the least mortality rates like he claims. Compared to Germany for example there are 4 times more deaths in the US. But from this president you will never hear these facts because the way he works is "build shit and cover up". This wouldn't be a problem if he was the leader of Papua New Guinea but as leader of the USA he is very dangerous for the whole world.

Even if Biden is dump and mentally defective (what isn't proved for me) I would prefer him over Trump because Biden seems to be honest, has good manners and shows empathy. And hey, no president does his job alone. There are always consultants, experts, scientists on your side and you just must be able to hear what they say to you (in principle).

This being said I personally would rather vote for Kermit the Frog than for Trump.

P.S. 0.048% of victims, isn't much as long as you are not part of them, right?

So 159,913 deaths in the span of a few months isn't that bad because of what percent of the population it is? 1,000+ deaths per day is acceptable by your standards?
 
I heard in the news of some jackass who went to a restaurant and tipped the waitress just 5 cents with a note to do away with the masks and she will make more in tips. Like wtf?

First off the masks and social distancing policies are in place for both the safety of customers and workers. Also, she's just following the rules and trying to do the right thing.
