Your welcome. It works, and is a good alternative for those that don't want to cut the pull tab off there brand new harness. Another product that will work is cork grease. It comes in a tube that looks like chapstick, and has almost the same consistency, so it is a bit easier to get worked into the webbing fibers. You can find it in music stores in the wood wind instrument section.

I've been a friend of Matt's for a long time and I love where the seed of his idea has germinated!
I LOVE renaming it the Valiant! Matt is not sort of person to name something after himself.
I know that having the harness approved for TCCs has been a huge PITA for Matt, and I have personally had to DQ Matt's personal harness at the Ohio TCC on a couple of occasions because of the ITCCs requirements.
The MCRS was finally approved for TCCs, but does anyone know if this new version will be?

I also have know Matt for years.
Rich H., Matt & I did a rec. climb with a tree-to-tree transfer on my property in ~2007.
He would travel significant distances to many TCC's, in person, & have the harness DQ'd.
I think he just want to underscore the belief that it was safe, if objectively evaluated.
(all the life support is approved rope, knots, & hardware ........ just combined in a different form.
I did not know that the MCRS had finally been approve by ISA for TCC.
According to the above info, it has not yet been "commercialized", however ........
Maybe this one will be approved more easily.

Matt's only problem with TCCs (whether he realizes it or not) is that ITCC doesn't allow for individual equipment inspectors to to make their own objective evaluation. The Charlotte TCC used to be the one where something like this would be allowed. Thats where the F8 Revolver was first allowed... spurring the revolution. I saw Bingham show up there with a completely homemade harness that he "built" (more like wove) from Allgear Branch Saver.
Unfortunately, "THE Charlotte" (as some call it now) is its own shit show.
Pretty much just leather and belt material worth some really thin padding

I park my truck next to a couple old growth stumps and noticed this when I was headed out this morning. A banana slug (student) napping it the remnants of an old springboard notch....

Those stumps and those slugs are a trip.
I got to see some of both in Washington.

I know tuefelberger wouldn't endorse this but I always wondered if the webbing on the treemo could be replaced with rope...
I'd rather just try out the mcrs when it's released but I've always like rope much more than webbing. Though webbing is lighter and more comfortable in most cases.

A pink tutu and fuzzy bunny slippers would be lighter and more comfortable than logging boots and farmer armor for dragging brush. Just saying. I mean, a whole crew with matching ballerina outfits with your company logo embroidered across the back... you could be stylin' in the hot sun while those other guys are sweatin' buckets and miserable. Hey, you could rework a MCRS with Calamine rope... it would be color coordinated, and everything.
I think @rico may have already beat me to this idea. He's probably tired of climbing wearing only a leather thong and nipple clamps.
