Thank you so much for this. Going to try it out todayYeah, the new dark anodized adjusters seem to have more grip. I fixed that problem on mine by rubbing the waist strap down with candle wax. You need to rub it in a bit, not just a light surface application.
...................... The MCRS was finally approved for TCCs, but does anyone know if this new version will be?
I also have know Matt for years.
Rich H., he & I did a rec. climb tree-to-tree transfer on my property in ~2007.
He would travel significant distances to many TCC's, in person, & have the harness DQ'd.
I think he just want to underscore the belief that it was safe, if objectively evaluated.
(all the life support is approved rope, knots, & hardware ........ just combined in a different form.
I did not know that the MCRS had finally been approve by ISA for TCC.
According to the above info, it has not yet been "commercialized", however ........
Maybe this one will be approved more easily.
Thanks, Greg
Can someone tell me how the leg pads are on the original? And this one too if possible. I’m just wondering if they’re rigid at all like if there’s any firm reinforcement in them from plastic or something or are they just leather and padding/cushion?
I park my truck next to a couple old growth stumps and noticed this when I was headed out this morning. A banana slug (student) napping it the remnants of an old springboard notch....First time I entered forest in California I was driving over the coast range from Redwood City headed to a small town on the coast/Rt 1 south of San Fran. Road was narrow/winding typical over the hills kind of ride. There were trucks carrying big loads of logs coming from the opposite direction and it was a bit tight. At some point there was a widening and enough to pull over. I jumped out, climbed over a guardrail and went into the woods on a steep slope. I ended up skiing on my feet a bit and took an easy roll. When I looked up after meeting the ground there was a banana slug in front of my face. I'm pretty sure it said “Welcome to California”.
