Nice going Joel, great work. I think you could get to that bell with a Captain Hook, just sayin' ;-)
Putting a musical ensemble in a tree has been my top ongoing tree climbing fantasy which I intend to do sooner than later!
The other top fantasy which I must do is to see how far I can go though the forest canopy horizontally in one day dawn to dusk (or after dusk why not) without ground support setting ropes etc.. Rules are anything goes just as long as it's not destructive to tree and forest parts, feet don't touch the ground and zero ground support. I can also see this as team sport with teams of 2 or 3 working together in the canopy. It could also be multi-day for the marathoners out there. For the multi-day event food and water caches could be left on the ground but they have to be snagged from above.
I am beyond jealous that you have a tuba! Any outtakes on rigging the tuba up? Mini-Traxion to the rescue!
Jonathan Richman, performing his song "There's Something About Mary" in a tree:
Here's an interview where Richman (on the left) talks about filming the song up in a tree for the movie @8:55 in, the rest of the interview is good too. What a guy, I first heard his song about the secretaries working downtown at Government Center in Boston when I was working in a mailroom downtown Boston near Government Center, I knew then he nailed it. But I digress...
