The new TM Ds hold two ropes. Enough said, you just need to knot each rope at whatever length you prefer. I get the difference between that and a D with an adjuster like a RollNLock for a single adjustable rope bridge, but I still like the double rope bridge more.

I need to defer to a MRT climber for advice on the cambium savers in the pictures. Personally, I would not use a caribiner in that setup because a permanent ring could achieve the same goal, but - again - not a disaster, and perhaps some strengths.

I want to do one with a Big Dan carabiner and a X Ring attached with a sterling hollow block just like that one in those pictures, I want it to be midline attachable.

This is what I use, and it's midline attachable. If you go this route, either girth hitch the carabiner, or use a corner trap

Where did you get that strap? I am using a webbing loop but I don’t like it, for now I am ascending the trees with SRT using the hitch climber pulley or the CBB, then I place my Buckinham friction saver in place and work DRT with the Spiderjack 3.

Thank you so much, will be nice if you could ad a prusik to make it adjustable, I have the Tree Squeeze from Buckinham and I love how you can set it anywhere but it’s not midline attachable.

Personal thing, but the Petzl sewn bridge eyes just don't seem right. I do like how Petzl are quite light.

Yea it had the petzl adjust to adjust the length. But you need to unload it to add length to it. Its a weird price of aluminum that bends and pinches the rope when loaded. Its not rated though, petzl once again says the kn rating depends on the rope that is in it. I understand but id still like to know the mbs rating of the adjust alone but to pull test that by itself is tricky too due to its shape

its a competition harness. It is for running around in a tree.
We work /hanging/pushed and pulled in all directions with tools and saws hanging from gear loops. I don't believe this harness can do this and others who have this harness have said similar.

The idea that the TreeMo is just a completion saddle that is no good for work is absurd. When set up properly the TM provides world class comfort and support, while somehow managing to disappear. No other saddle I have ever worn accomplishes all this.
I have spent hundreds of hours in a TM Light, working down spars with a 562XP, 395XP, or 3120 strapped to me. The TreeMo never flinched, and always provided a super comfy, solid, safe ride. The TM has been, and will continue to be one of the finest work saddles available.


Not sure about the dude in the MB vs TM review, but I do know Mr Coleman is doing real-deal tree work, and choses to ride a TM. Nuff said!

Honestly from my experience most removals are a cake walk in comparison to crown reduction type pruning. of course there are exceptions.
Being on the hooks is not going to push comfort the same way that spurless pruning does. Going out on a lead/limb/ horizontal with low to zero overhead tie in points without spurs quickly decides what harness is going to be comfortable. TM looks and feels unforgiving. Thus applies excessive pressure/hard pressure on the pinch points.

Best analogy to sum this all up is using work boots on the hooks.
Standard off the shelf boot is 3oz leather or go for the 7oz leather you find on a handmade logger boot.
without question we know what boot is going to be the best option for climbing. try to convince some people either way.
it is upto you if want flexibility or rigidity.
I have both types of boots and at no time do I regret not having the logger, Viberg by the way.
The light hikers I have are constantly hurting and pinching and annoying. that is the sacrifice for a light and comfy and breathable boot. Standing in crotch or the like can be excruciating like positioning to make a cut with out proper foot holds and depending on multiple tie in points to hold fast with a running saw.
thats all some of us are trying to explain in regards to the TM and in comparison to the MB I tried purchasing a TM yrs ago, and contacted them also to work out sharing some ideas. I think at the time they said no thanks politely. Great group of caring people over there. DMM teufelberger, imagineers etc. Its just this harness is status quo, no risks taken, nothing truly imaginative or new. Take this for what it is worth and who it is coming from, the inventor of the worlds most dangerous throw weight
